We also run a mentorship programme,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"1993\" data-end=\"2513\">A standout moment of the event was the <em>Best PR Student 2024<\/em> award, where Bridget Kenyangye was recognized for her outstanding academic performance in the field of public relations. The top PR student from each university receives a trophy, certificate and between sh200,000 and sh300,000.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"1993\" data-end=\"2513\">The award served as an inspiration to all attendees, highlighting the importance of dedication, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. This recognition not only honored the individual student\u2019s hard work but also motivated others to pursue their goals with the same level of passion and dedication.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"1993\" data-end=\"2513\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2599 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/news.umu.ac.ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/P1135105.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1308\" srcset=\"https:\/\/news.umu.ac.ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/P1135105.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/news.umu.ac.ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/P1135105-300x192.jpg 300w, https:\/\/news.umu.ac.ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/P1135105-1024x654.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/news.umu.ac.ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/P1135105-768x491.jpg 768w, https:\/\/news.umu.ac.ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/P1135105-1536x981.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 2048px) 100vw, 2048px\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"2587\" data-end=\"3136\">The day\u2019s festivities didn\u2019t stop there. The event also served as the official platform for the @IMChallengeug Awards, which celebrated exceptional talent in the media and communication industries. The awards recognized individuals and organizations that have made a significant impact through innovative storytelling, creative content, and effective communication strategies. It was an inspiring moment for students, showcasing the heights they could reach in their future careers if they apply the skills and knowledge they are learning today.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"1993\" data-end=\"2513\">Sister Dennis Samanya, the UMU Dean Associate, said the awards motivate the students to work hard and open them up to opportunities to gain more skills and put the theories learnt into practice through internships and mentorships.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"1993\" data-end=\"2513\">Rev.
