In September 2022, Uganda Martyrs University initiated an idea of Essay Writing Competition about the Uganda Martyrs and introduced it to Catholic-founded Secondary Schools (A’ Level). The vision behind this initiative was that the National Uganda Martyrs celebration on 3rd of June every year should come as a climax of a series of celebrations/initiatives to make the story of the Uganda Martyrs better appreciated in the whole country, but especially among young people.
